Prof. Dr. Andreas Leunig
Specialist in otorhinolaryngology with additional qualifications in allergology, plastic surgery, and specialized otorhinolaryngology. Prof. Leunig specializes in functional endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery (FESS), navigational surgery and revision surgery, as well as specialized ENT surgery.
In the field of functional endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery, Prof. Leunig is not only a recognized national and international specialist, but also a book author and sought-after speaker for national and international lectures, surgical courses (), and continuing education courses ().
After studying at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, he completed his training as an otorhinolaryngologist at the ENT University Clinic of the LMU in Munich. In 1997, he became a specialist in otolaryngology and just one year later was working as a senior physician at the ENT University Clinic of the LMU.
In 2009, he was awarded the title of Professor and appointed to the Garnett Passe & Rodney Williams Chair for Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Queensland, Australia. Since 2010, he has served as Senior Consultant and Deputy Director of the ENT Department at the University Hospital of Munich (LMU).
Since 2013, Prof. Leunig has been working as a surgeon for ENT surgery and functional endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery at the Dr. Gaertner ENT Clinic.
